Small Business COVID Grants Scheme

The Queensland Government is ready to support your business to manage the impacts of COVID-19 and look ahead to recovery.COVID-19 Business Support Grants


Sole traders and employing businesses who turnover $75,000 or more a year are eligible for a COVID-19 Business Support Grant if they had a 30 per cent or greater drop in turnover during the lockdown period (31 July to 8 August).


There are four types of grants available depending on the size of the business:


Sole traders without staff can apply for a $1,000 grant.


Businesses and not-for-profits that employ staff can apply for:

  • a $10,000 grant for those with an annual payroll of less than $1.3 million

  • a $15,000 grant for those with an annual payroll between $1.3 and $10 million

  • a $30,000 grant for tourism or hospitality businesses with an annual payroll ofmore than $10 million.

Applications for these grants will be open until 16 November with sole trader grants open until 30 November. All eligible businesses who apply will receive funding.
